You can find restaurants all up and down the boardwalk, but here are some of the best. 

Riptydz

Riptydz is located on the famous Myrtle Beach Boardwalk. This dining spot is massive, spanning over 17,000-square-feet with 500 seats. It’s a standout on the Boardwalk. 

Riptydz offers live music every Friday and Saturday, adding an extra flavor to your dining experience. Imagine grabbing a seat on a Saturday, pulling up to the gorgeous views of the ocean, and spending your night listening to vibrant music. 

They have a wide arrange of foods, from fresh seafood to prime steaks to local favorites that will make you do a happy dance in your seat. 

Riptydz is a mix of great cuisine and ambiance. Indulge in local flavors, Irish fare, or Caribbean delights. 

The restaurant marks all the check boxes: wheelchair accessibility, valet parking, excellent food, and live musing, all while enjoying oceanfront views.

Ocean Front Bar & Grill is steeped in history. It began in 1935 as Ocean Front Tavern. At the time, it had a beer garden out on the wooden patio. 

When Hurricane Hazel hit in 1954, the storm took out the boardwalk. The owners rebuilt the tavern and it was renamed as Ocean Front Bar & Grill. It’s been owned by the same family since 1948. 

Their legendary foot-long hot dogs are slathered with a secret family chili recipe that’s been around for ages. 

The bar is welcoming whether you’re perched at a picnic table or cozied up at a high-top inside.

Bandito’s Cantina

Bandito’s Cantina is my go-to waterfront restaurant in Myrtle Beach whenever I want to eat some good Mexican food. Nestled under the Tin Roof, Bandito’s Cantina is on the second floor of the BLVD building. 

It’s like a mini vacation where the beach is your backyard. The atmosphere is buzzing with energy and provides an escape from the everyday hustle. 

Bandito’s is a vibrant and lively restaurant. It’s like very bite takes you on a little trip south of the border. Let the ocean breeze calm you as you enjoy some of the best views on the beach. 

Whether you choose to site inside, where the panoramic windows offer a stunning view, or out on the open-air patio, you’re in for a treat. 

This place has you covered with Mexican cuisine, whether you’re craving mouth-watering tacos, a zesty burrito, or just want to unwind with a tequila in hand

It’s the place to be for a sunny afternoon or a starry night. It’s open into the wee hours of the night, so you can drop by for Mexican goodness at any hour.

Sea Captain’s isn’t just any old restaurant. It started as a vacation beach house in the 1930s and transformed into a beloved dining spot in 1962. 

Their food is a culinary journary. They dish out low-country appetizers, seafood, and more. One of their crowd-pleasers is their award-winning She-Crab soup, and they also ave wonderful dishes like the Seared Tuna Tower and an array of fresh salads. 

Sea Captain’s has a special nautical ambiance with matching decor and panoramic ocean views. They also have dining areas like The Blue Room, The Chart Room, and more, offering different but equally charming experiences. 

If you’re looking for a good drink, The Blue Room features a newly renovated bar, with its exquisite oyster bar top and color-changning lights. 

There’s seasonal live music and a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

Pier 14 

Pier 14 is dripping with history, its roots dating back to 1926. The current Pier 14 started as a nightclub in 1984 before transitioning to a food hotspot in 1986. 

It’s the only restaurant in Myrtle Beach that is located directly over the ocean. Listen to the gentle sounds of waves as you dine and catch a sight you won’t ever forget. 

Pier 14’s food is American cuisine with a seaside twist. Their dishes range from seafood dishes to vegetarian to gluten-free options, ensuring there’s something for everyone. They’ve been recognized as one of the top restaurants in Myrtle Beach. 

They have live music and outdoor seating that extends over the ocean. You can enjoy a lightly breaded flounder or a classic fish sandwich all while soaking in the incredible view and sunshine.

Moe Moon’s is located right at Plyler Park near the Skywheel, making it an amazing location. It has an awesome surf theme going on making it the perfect chill spot.

The food is all quality American cuisine. Moe Moon’s has big, juicy burgers, giant hot dogs, and meaty chicken wings all designed to light up your taste buds. There’s also sandwiches, salads, appetizers, and dishes with a Southern twist. 

If you’re into seafood or Mexican fusion, Moe Moon’s has you covered.

Bummz Beach Cafe is a little oasis that’s chill and beachy. You can dine with an ocean view, savoring your food and soaking up the beachfront vibes. 

Bummz offers a mix of American, bar, and seafood cuisine. Whether you’re a veggie lover, vegan, or gluten-free, they have options. 

You can’t go wrong with their wings, french fries, sandwiches, or salads. 

The casual, laid-back atmosphere screams “beach life.” It’s the perfect spot to unwind or for a casual hangout.

Art Burger Sushi Bar

Known as the spot for ribs, Daom’s has made a name for itself with its award-winning, tender, meaty ribs, drenched in their special sauce. 

In addition to the amazing food, you get an amazing, unfiltered view of the beach. The restaurant is within easy walking distance to many fine hotels, making it convenient for both locals and tourists. 

Damon’s Grill is a fan favorite for its great views and tasty grilled favorites. The variety in their menu caters to different tastes, including vegetarian and gluten-free meals. 

I recommend it for a casual meal out with family, friends, or your significant other.

This is a favorite of mine. Tin Roof resides on the third floor of the BLVD building, making it an incredible rooftop restaurant you don’t want to miss. 

They offer Southern-inspired food that’s as tasty as it is comforting, all served up in a setting that’s both fun and eclectic. 

The rooftop bar and restaurant boasts stunning views of the ocean and boardwalk. Their live music is a key part of the Tin Roof experience. 

Tin Roof is a place where entertainment meets gastronomy. It’s a place to be entertained and feel the rhythm of the beachside lifestye.

Wicked Tuna has two locations – one on the Murrells Inlet Marshwalk and the other is on the beach. It’s like dining in a postcard. You’re dining with a scenic backdrop that’s breathtaking. 

Their master sushi chefs craft beautiful plates of sashimi and sushi rolls that are a feat for both the eyes and the palate. They also have an exclusive wine and sake list to pair with your meal perfectly. 

It’s a blend of ultra-fresh seafood, stunning views, and culinary artistry.

Landshark Bar & Grill

Landshark Bar & Grill takes up one of the prime spots on the boardwalk. Located at the base of Myrtle Beach’s famous Skywheel, it has excellent views of the beach. 

This eatery is inspired by Jimmy Buffet’s song, “Fins,” and captures the beachy, easygoing vibe perfectly. 

The menu is a laid-back foodie’s dream. From juicy burgers and mouthwatering seafood to chicken wings and nachos, this joint has it all. Thy even have their signature dishes like the Black and Bleu Burger and the Chili Cheese Dog. 

The food is bursting with flavors.

True to Buffett’s Caribbean soul, this place sports a massive open-air deck that looks out over the ocean. The surf-themed diing area is laid-back, fun, and completely in tune with the beach life. 

It’s the perfect spot to soak up the Myrtle Beach views and catch a cool breeze. You can even snag some souvenirs from their gift shop so you’ll always remember your visit.

River City Cafe

If you’re planning a trip to Myrtle Beach, you have to check out River City Cafe. The place is a burger paradise and a staple for the locals. The burgers were voted #1 in WMBF’s Best of the Grand Strand in 2021. 

River City Cafe has been winning titles yearly for their delicious food and sacred spot in our hearts. USA TODAY recognized this spot as ‘One of the best places in the nation to feed the kids.’

The chilled-out, beachy vibe makes it a place where you can kick back, relax, and feel like you’re part of the River City family. 

River City Cafe spans across Horry County, with 7 locations, the majority of them placed right in front of the beach. 

If you ever find yourself craving a good burger in a casual setting with beach views, River City Cafe is your go-to spot.

Gulfstream Café 

Gulfstream Café is located a short jaunt south of central Myrtle Beach. It treats you to an amazing view of the ocean and Murrells Inlet. 

Gulfstream Café is all about seafood and southern favorites. You’re in for delicacies like broiled lobster tail, she-crab soup, and crab cakes.

If you’re not into seafood, they also have chicken, duck, and steak options. Plus, their Sunday brunch with a Bloody Mary bar is something you can’t miss. 

It’s one of the best spots to catch a sunset while enjoying your meal. There’s something magical about dining as the sky paints itself in hues of orange and pink.
